Investing despite economic and financial collapse
This report examines how the investment strategies of investors and entrepreneurs have changed in recent years in response to a series of compounded crises that have had a firm grip on Lebanon. Drawing on years of experience supporting water and sanitation entrepreneurs in Lebanon - from ideation to scaling - the authors explain how the multi-layered crisis is affecting key pillars of the market and ecosystem in which enterprises providing solutions for the water, sanitation, agricultural and energy sectors operate. Selected case studies describe mitigation and adaptation options that entrepreneurs use to stabilize their business, lower risk and attract investors as well as providing an overview of shifting interests and practices of traditional and new investors.
