The Cewas Nicaragua program, which ran from June 2022 to August 2023, contributed to improving the quality of life for the Nicaraguan population by generating, identifying, and strengthening enterprises in water, sanitation, and solid waste management. These enterprises provide solutions to issues in rural and peri-urban areas of Nicaragua.
The program targeted emerging enterprises in the sector with high environmental and social impact potential. It was a comprehensive initiative that combined training with ongoing personalized advisory services and promoted institutional support from key sector actors. This project was made possible by the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and was carried out by the Cewas water and sanitation entrepreneurship center and Young Water Solutions.
