Having successfully executed 7 editions of the program and extending support to 75 youth-led water and sanitation start-ups across 30 countries (including 18 in Latin America), the inaugural Latin American edition of the Young Water Fellowship commenced in 2021. The primary objective was to facilitate the validation and launch of 10 youth-led water and sanitation start-ups, known as Young Water Fellows, in the region.
Since March 2021, these 10 selected start-ups have undergone a series of virtual and face-to-face business training sessions, including a Bootcamp held in CDMX in collaboration with cewas and Impact Hub CDMX. They have also received coaching from experts and funding of up to EUR 5000 to validate their social enterprises and conduct pilot projects demonstrating their impact.
