At the VI Latin American Conference on Sanitation (LATINOSAN Bolivia, 2022), held in Cochabamba, Bolivia, on October12-13, 2022, Cewas designed and organized the Workshop on Innovations in Water and Sanitation in Latin America and the Caribbean. The workshop was attended by over 120 participants and aimed to highlight innovation as a key tool for transforming the water and sanitation sector in the region. As a final product, Cewas prepared a technical note presenting the workshop's results and conclusions, along with a map of innovations and the respective innovators by sector and type.
The objective of this publication is to provide key stakeholders with elements for reflection and to encourage the strengthening of innovation within the sector. It offers concrete commendations for authorities and decision-makers, presenting a wide range of options for enhancing and managing the water and sanitation innovation ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
